The magnitude of the 'world water crisis' is yet to be realised by the vast majority of people in the world today. We are warned by the United Nations of severe water shortages by the year 2025. Water is a limited, non-renewable resource. Most of this (97.4%) is salt water and practically unusable for industry, consumption or domestic use. A further 2% is located in ice caps and glaciers. This leaves only 0.6% available for human use, of which half is buried deep underground.

While freshwater supply is limited, demand continues to escalate as the population and consumption increases. Global water consumption has more than doubled over the last century and estimated use is predicted to increase by about 40% in the next ten years.
BLACKHALL have developed products, systems and the methodology to dramatically reduce water wastage. Specifically, our involvement in the repair and refurbishment of large reservoir and dam control valves within the water supply industry has saved millions of gallons of otherwise wasted water, and, reinforced our philosophy of re-use. This has given the customer a 'good as new' product with a minimum cost both financially and in terms of natural resource usage.
