Success as agreement with Welsh Water and Blackhall Engineering is continued

A chance for Blackhall to continue to deliver exceptional service and parts for a well-established company.

Welsh Water is a major water utility company that supplies water and wastewater services to Wales and parts of England. Blackhall Engineering have worked closely with Welsh Water for some time, and we can now announce our success in securing a continuation of the framework agreement with this company.

This comes down to the exceptional work Blackhall have done in designing, manufacturing and supplying our 100-year-life valves. These valves support the dam and reservoir networks that Welsh Water serves and have been included on sites such as; Caban Coch Dam, Talybont Reservoir, Aled Isaf Reservoir, Llanishen Reservoir, Llyn Ceyln Reservoir, Ffynnon Llugwy Reservoir, Claerwen Reservoir, Llyn Craigypistyll, Lower Carno Reservoir, and Upper Carno Reservoir. These valves include fixed cone free discharge valves, metal seated wedge gate valves, submerged discharge valves, and Larner-Johnson plunger flow control valves.

Blackhall's commitment to excellence

The continuation of the framework agreement is a testament to Blackhall Engineering's commitment to excellence, customer service, and technical expertise. Welsh Water has recognized the value that Blackhall Engineering's 100 Year Asset Life valves bring to their dams and reservoir operations and the importance of having a reliable and trusted engineering partner. Blackhall have dedicated time and expertise to craft valves that are sought after for such large-scale projects, and our client list is proof of our standards and commitment to making a product that is nothing short of perfect.

During the previous framework agreement, Blackhall Engineering also carried out continued valve repair work, and refurbishments, for Welsh Water's reservoirs. We are experts in our field, and to have us on-site ensuring reliability, safety and longevity of our product speaks volumes to our exceptional business practices that we adhere to. In this industry, longevity is key and we know that all too well. Whilst you may be able to secure valves on import, for a lesser price, our valves come with the promise of 'Valves for Life'. These valves, that are made in Britain, are backed by British manufacturing standards, and have the defence of British Heritage and its environment in mind, from consultation to final installation and continued repair works if necessary.

Opportunities, not problems

During the installation of Blackhall Engineering's 100 year life valves, our team knows we may be up against unpleasant, difficult and potentially hazardous working conditions. Often called upon to replace original valves that can be hundreds of years old, surrounded by a buildup of rubble, our team work tirelessly to find solutions that are both efficient and as safe as can possibly be. Several of our case studies listed above have tested these regulations, but we get the job done every time. Each project is a learning experience, one our team evolves from, and brings to our next partnership.

Blackhall Engineering are excited to continue working with Welsh Water to provide invaluable product and performance for the foreseeable future. A chance to develop and learn from our products in-situ and help this water services company continue to bring water to Wales and England safely, protecting the people and the planet along the way. If you have a similar project, or something entirely different that you think we can help with, don't hesitate to get in touch, and our friendly and experienced team will be happy to help.
